When it comes to SL and SLC, I’m doing the Herbalist profession. I decided to get involved with SLC because it is the first system I have seen that has a wide variety of growing and harvestable herbs. I’m a 31 year practicing Wiccan IRL, and I make my own RL incenses, brews, smudges, teas, spell/charm bags/sachets, etc. so this system provides me a peaceful enjoyable process in my own parcel and I can customize it to fit my home area theme, fabulous!

I also love that it does not follow the other typical SL living system formats, particularly in the pyramid scheme methodology of constantly producing wild colored, unrealistic animals and other products. Not to mention that there are actual ways to use the CXP you earn as you progress rather than constantly having to repeatedly pay L’s for seeds, etc. I understand it is a gimmick and a way of life for some folks, but to me it is just wasted linden (real money) for things most users can’t do anything with over time with those other systems.

At least in SLC we can craft unique items and recipes. We can trade, and other professions can use things to benefit everyone, or we can sell our crafted wares to the market and others can enjoy and experience them. I would love to see more herbs added, and the alchemy system be less random / confusing and more options to craft at the actual herbalist table vs. the potion making at the alchemy station.

I would REALLY love to see actual written notecard documentation inside the product packaging, it took my colony people over a week of infuriating days and hours just trying to find basic information - this area is severely lacking, and while there are these forums and videos, some very basic info can be hard or VERY time consuming to find. I’d also love to see more active users who enjoy the system chime in when people ask questions and are trying to learn.

Side note, while I understand the new game stuff on Discord going on, it really clutters up the general chat, I’d love to see that get put in it’s own channel. I really am not at all interested in that element of SLC. I do it in SL because I want to enjoy SL, not Discord games.
