Summary
In trying to make more of a custom crafted potion recipe, I am seeing electrolytes showing in RED text in the alchemy station when I am carrying 42 of them. The station also tells me I do not have electrolytes to make the potion I am intending to make. I had just purchased 40 caffiene and 40 electrolytes from the CXP store prior to beginning to try to craft these. KAI Whisper of Zephyra

However if I look at the craft tab in the alchemy station, it does show there my 42 electrolytes, I see them as well in my regular inventory. I tried putting them in a chest then taking them back out to see if that fixed the issue but it still is not showing the electrolytes in the potions tab.
Just checking in on this, I’m wondering if this has been fixed or if I still need to wait to craft my potions?
This one will need Drakkhis to look at on his return from holidays in France.
I’ve never looked at the alchemy code and not keen to touch that one.
Hi Kaiara — I decided to take a look a the Alchemy bench while waiting on @drakkhis to settle back at home and take a look at this one.
While troubleshooting, I think I found it, and the good news first: your electrolytes were never lost. They’re all still there in your inventory, and nothing was used up. The bug is in the alchemy window itself, not in your character.
What’s happening: when you click an ingredient into the Craft tab (the one with Set Name and the heat/time sliders, where you invent new recipes), the window treats that ingredient as already used up — and it forgets to give it back when you move on. So when you then go to the Potions tab, it thinks you have none, shows it in red, and won’t let you brew.
To make your potion right now (possible workaround):
Close the alchemy window completely.
Touch the Alchemy Station again to get a fresh link, and open it.
Go straight to the Potions tab and make your KAI Whisper of Zephyra. Your electrolytes should be there.
The one thing to avoid: don’t click items into the Craft tab before brewing on the Potions tab. If you want to do both, do your potions first, then use the Craft tab. And if an ingredient ever turns red again even though you’re carrying it, that’s this same bug — just close the window and reopen it from the station, and it’ll come back.
